We create memories that last a lifetime.
KRUU was founded in 2016 with a simple yet powerful idea: to capture magical moments for eternity. Since then, we have continually developed our photo booth – for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and many other occasions. From a small office in Heilbronn, we have grown into an international team with a lot of heart, creative ideas, and a great deal of team spirit.
In a small office in Heilbronn, founders Jochen, Olli, and Philipp turned their vision into reality. The first sketches of the KRUU photo booth took shape, and prototypes were tested right there in the office. Soon, our small office in Heilbronn became too small – because every single photo booth was shipped from there.
2017 was a milestone for us: We launched our photo booths outside of Germany, thus expanding into new countries. Austria in February, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France in March – demand increased, and our team grew with it. In June 2017, we moved into our new office in Bad Friedrichshall, ready for more space, more teamwork, and new adventures.
Standstill? Not with us! In 2018, we launched our MK3 photo booth with a new, more powerful flash – for even brighter shots at your events. At the same time, we moved to a larger warehouse to ship even more photo booths to you. More space, more power, more magical moments!
2019 The next development step followed in 2019: We equipped our photo booths with many new features – including personalized collages and creative tools that made every event even more unique. Because for us, unique memories always deserve the best.
2020 started with record bookings - more celebrations than ever! But everything changed in March when the coronavirus lockdown hit: gatherings were banned, and we faced a tough blow. Thanks to our incredible customers who chose to postpone rather than cancel, we managed to keep going. While 2022 wasn’t quite back to normal, with solidarity, flexibility, and the KRUU spirit, we gave it everything we had.
2023 was a really exciting year for us: We've added a cool new feature to our photo booth – Live View! Now everyone can see each other in real time before taking the photo. We also had another move: We moved to a larger warehouse in Bad Friedrichshall to be able to handle shipping even better and faster for you.
In addition to our photo booth, something else very special was on the agenda. Because we know how important it is to capture special memories forever, we launched our KRUU app. This allows all guests to upload, like, share, and comment on their own snapshots. And the best part: After the event, the photos from the photo booth will also end up in the app – so you have all the highlights in one place.
A lot also happened in 2024: We entered the US market and opened our brand-new office! That same year, we launched the new version of our photo booth, the MK4, in the US. With its stylish design and built-in flash, it's guaranteed to create wow moments! And the best part: Our friends in the EU can look forward to the MK4 in 2025!
